
A Clean Ganges for Future Generations
Students in schools located on the banks of the Ganges are being taught techniques of water quality testing through water literacy. Herbal gardens are being prepared by providing medicinal plants in the area. In addition, an innovative effort has been made to open a Himalayan Plant Bank. Through which herbal gardens will be established in more than 100 educational institutions in the Gangotri to Ganges coastal regions in the future and lakhs of people will be made aware of water literacy. To motivate for the cleanliness of Ganga through Ganga Aarti.
Impact of work: By explaining the ecological importance of Ganga through water literacy, public respect for preserving Ganga as a world heritage is increasing and people are getting direct and indirect benefits from medicinal plants.
